Union Traditional is produced by Establecimiento Las Marías in Gobernador Virasoro, Corrientes, Argentina, the same facility that produces Taragui. Las Marías controls everything from seedbed selection to final packaging, using biological products instead of pesticides and maintaining FSC certification for sustainable forestry. When Union was created in 1982, it marked the first yerba mate specifically engineered to be smooth and mild, changing the market forever.
How do you prepare Union Traditional?
Fill your mate gourd about three-quarters full with Union Traditional, tilt the gourd, and pour lukewarm water along the tilted side. Then add hot water at 70-80°C and place your bombilla in the gourd. Sip and pass it around.
